Trials, Tournaments, and Beyond

I love photographing a full range of dog sports, whether that be the intensity of PSA, the precision of Rally and Obedience, the fast-paced strategy of Agility and Scentwork, or the classic elegance of Conformation.

Conformation was actually my gateway into the dog world! I started attending the Land O' Lakes Kennel Club dog show around age six, and was transfixed with seeing so many beautiful breeds all in one spot. As I grew up and learned all about what goes into conformation showing, I gained immense respect for the handlers and their dogs. That ringside seat sparked a passion that eventually grew to cover all kinds of dog sports.

Among all the fast-action events, disc sports hold a special place in my heart. Watching athletic dogs perform mid-air twists and gravity-defying catches is pure excitement. Getting to capture those split-second, high-flying action shots- along with the hilarious, candid expressions on both the dogs and their handlers, is one of my favorite things.

Plans For the Future: As someone who dreams of getting my own dog to dabble in all sorts of dog sports one day, being
on the sidelines with my camera is the next best thing. I’m always honored to document the hard work, passion, and unique bond you share with your dog on trial day.
